AUSTRALIA, WWII, trench art, a 25 pounder II shell casing in nickel silver, the base marked for MC indicating that it was made at the Guns Ammunition Factory at Finsbury, South Australia, affixed at the side is a nickel coated Rising Sun hat badge (KC). A small area with some scratches and the whole case needs cleaning and polishing, otherwise very fine.
