Trooper Alex Walker killed the notorious bushranger, Fred Ward, known as Captain Thunderbolt at Kentucky Creek in the New England District of NSW in 1870. He retired as a Superintendent and died on 20 March 1929 at Cremorne in North Sydney, NSW.^With research.
