THRACE, Ainos, silver diobol, (435-405 B.C.), (1.16 g), (May dates 427/6-425/4 B.C.), obv. head of youthful Hermes to right, wearing petasos ornamented with row of beads above brim, rev. AIN above goat standing right within incuse square, stylized vine tendril on right, (cf.S.1568, May Group XXIII, SNG Lockett 1164, SNG Cop. 405, Pozzi 1033). Toned, good very fine and rare.
