MACEDON, Kingdom of, Philip II, (359-336 B.C.), AE 17, single unit, uncertain Macedonian mint, (5.18 g), probably issued posthumously c.323/2-315 B.C., obv. Apollo head to right with plain tainia, dotted border, rev. naked youth on horse to right, above **FILOPPOU*, below A, (cf.S.6696, SNG ANS 894, Drama Hoard No.62, SNG Greece [Alpha Bank] II, 374-5). Good very fine, rare in this condition.
