EPEIROS, Epeirote Republic, (c.234-168 B.C.), AE 15, (3.15 g), obv. bust of Artemis right, dotted border, rev. **AREI - RWTAN* on either side of spearhead within laurel wreath, (S.2002, Franke 583, SNG Cop. 136, BMC Thessaly 61-67). Attractive apple green patina, nearly extremely fine and very scarce.
A similar example in CNG Triton V (lot 340) realised US$325.
