PELOPONNESOS, Argolis, Argos, silver hemidrachm, or Attic triobol, 260's-250's B.C. (2.31 g), obv. forepart of wolf at bay to left, **Q* above, rev. A with **P* and Y either side at top with eagle standing right on harpa, club to right below all within shallow incuse square, (cf.Sear 2794, BCD 1111 [p.271, LHS 96], BMC 79-80 [p.142], Mycenae Pl.10, 8-9, HGC 5, 670). Deep grey patination, very fine and very scarce.

Ex BCD Collection, previously from Dr Busso Peus Auction Sale 284 (lot 327) December 1974. Lot includes descriptive collector's and BCD tickets in flip. The BCD example realised 1700 S.Fr.
