THRACE, Anchialus, Greek Imperial with emperor and empress portraits, various issues all in packets described, including Gordian III and Tranquillina, (AD 238-244), AE 28mm, (12.27 g), obv. confronting busts of Gordian III and Tranquillina, rev. eagle standing facing on thunderbolt, wreath in beak, (Mouchmov 2955, AMNG II, 678, Varbanov 690); another similar, AE 24mm, (13.05 g), obv. similar to previous item, rev. Apollo standing facing within tetrastyle temple, holding lyre on tripod, (cf.Varbanov 728); last coin, obv. Tranquillina diademed and draped bust right, rev. lion walking to right, (Varbanov 796). Very fine - good very fine, all very scarce. (3)
