PHRYGIA, Sebaste, Geta, as Caesar, (AD 198-209), AE 25mm, (8.89 g), obv. bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust right, rev. men standing right, foot on bucranium, holding spear and pine cone, (SNG von Aulock -); second coin, Phrygia, Stectorium, Julia Mamaea, Augusta, (AD 222-235), AE 24mm, (5.20 g), obv. diademed and draped bust right, rev. Tyche standing left, holding rudder on globe and cornucopiae, (SNG von Aulock -, SNG Cop., BMC -, Lindgren and Kovacs -); third coin Phrygia, Synaus, Nero, with Agrippina Junior, (AD 54-68), AE 19mm (4.96 g), Metrophanes, magistrate, struck circa AD 55, obv. draped bust of Agrippina Junior vis a vis bare head of Nero left, rev. Apollo standing right, shooting arrow from bow, (RPC I 3107) (illustrated); fourth coin, similar Synnada, Caracalla (AD 198-217), AE 28mm (9.11 g), obv. laureate and cuirassed bust right, rev. Amaltheia standing facing, head right, holding long sceptre and infant Zeus; to right at feet, goat standing right, (RPC VI Online 5765, BMC 54), extremely rare, only two known to RPC; fifth coin, similar, Temenothyrae, time of Philip I, (AD 244-249); AE 30mm, (16.54 g), issued by Nicomachus the High Priest, obv. helmeted and draped bust of Roma right, rev. Serapis seated left, extending arm and holding sceptre; before him, Isis standing right, holding sceptre and sistrum, (BMC Phrygia p. 410, 13) (illustrated). Very good - very fine, mostly rare. (5)
