SYRIA, Antioch ad Orontes, A large group of issues mostly AE, of various rulers, noted civic issues (2, one dated for 128-9 AD), Augustus (S.291), Claudius, Nero, Galba as a silver tetradrachm, rev. eagle (only very good), Vespasian, Titus, Domitian, Caracalla?, Macrinus, Diadumenian, Elagabalus (5), Severus Alexander, Philip I (2), Philip II (illustrated), Trajan Decius (2), uncertain (2); together with issues from Seleukis & Piera, Emisa (2) Elagabalus (AD 218-222) one AE 15mm, (2.56 g) rev. with bust of Sol, (not listed in usual references) (ilustrated), uncertain if correct but given to Emisa by CNG in eSale 138 (lot 170) (This Coin)). Very good - very fine, some scarce, last coin with minor roughness. (27)
