MARCUS AURELIUS, (A.D. 161-180), silver denarius, Rome Mint, issued A.D. 167, (3.28 g), obv. laureate head of Marcus Aurelius to right, around M ANTONINVS AVG ARM PARTH MAX, rev. around TR P XXI IMP IIII COS III, Providentia standing left, holding sceptre and wand over globe, (cf.S.4935, RIC 170, RSC 881). Extremely fine and scarce.
