LUCIUS VERUS, (161-169 A.D.), silver denarius, issued 166 A.D., Rome Mint, (3.37 g), obv. laureate head of Lucius Verus to right, around L VERVS AVG ARM PARTH MAX, rev. PIETAS AVG TR P VI COS II around, Pietas standing left, dropping incense on lighted altar and holding perfume box, (S.5335, RIC 560, RSC 131). Lightly toned, very fine and scarce.
