L SEPTIMIUS SEVE RVS PIVS AVG around laureate head of bearded Septimius Severus to right, rev. VICTORIAE AVGG around, Victory in galloping biga to right, holding whip, SC in exergue, (cf.S.6478, RIC 829 variety, C.715 variety, BMC -). Deep chocolate patina, some surface roughness and porosity, otherwise very fine and rare.
