SEVERUS ALEXANDER AS CAESAR, (A.D.222-235), silver denarius, issued A.D. 232, Rome Mint, (3.63 g), obv. bare-headed bust to right, draped and cuirassed, around M AVR ALEXANDER CAES, rev. INDVLGENTIA AVG, Spes walking to left, holding up flower and raising skirt, (S.7793, RIC 2, RSC 65, BMC 264). Nearly extremely fine and very rare.

Ex CNG retail with priced ticket ($695 US) bought December 2009.
