VOLUSIAN, son of Trebonianus Gallus, (251-253 A.D.), silver antoninianus, Rome Mint, (3.10 g), obv. radiate bust draped and cuirassed to right, rev. P M TR P IIII COS II around, Emperor standing holding patera and a short transverse sceptre, sacrificing over a tripod, (S.9763, RIC 141). Traces of gold patination, extremely fine or better, very scarce.
