VALERIAN II AS CAESAR, son of Gallienus, (256-258 A.D.), base silver antoninianus, issued 257-258 A.D., Cologne Mint, (4.16 g), obv. radiate bust of Valerian II to right, draped, and cuirassed, around P C L VALERIANVS NOB CAES, Rev. PRINCIPI IVVENTVTIS around, Caesar Valerian standing to left holding standard in his right hand and long spear in left hand, (S.10738, RIC 23, RSC 81). Uneven patination, good very fine.
