The 1914-15 Star is full medal entitlement serving with Australian forces. Also entitled to British War Medal 1914-18 and Victory Medal 1914-19 serving with British Army. Noted that H.Collins previously served with Mashonaland Field Force as Adjutant, Roberts Horse.^Herbert Collins, station overseer, age 33, born at Kensington, London, England; Enl.11Aug1914 at Sydney, NSW in N&M Expeditionary Force; to Pte 16Aug1914; Emb.19Aug1914; to Sgt 21Oct1914; to Lieut 20Nov1914; attached to Native Police, Rabaul 28Dec1914; TOS of Garrison 09Feb1915; to be OC Native Affairs including control of Native Police 18Feb1915; RTA 18Jul1915 and struck off strength of Bn; to Lieut 30Aug1915; Appt terminated 01Dec1915; Died in 1950 in Kensington, London, England.^With research including part copy of Service File.
