H.M.A.S Sydney, large bronze plaque (29.5x21.1cm), designed by C.H.Eccles and cast by Amors, featuring the Sydney riding to the left through rough seas and below in the border, 'H.M.A.S Sydney'. Good very fine.

Charles Eccles was a designer and engraver for the medallist, Amor. One of his works was the reverse of the medal for the Sesquicentenary of Australia in 1938 and another was the Victorian Association War Medallion c1940.
A similar plaque sold in Noble Numismatics Sale 118 (lot 4684) in 2018 for $800.
