GREAT BRITAIN, World War I, cast bronze plaque, 1916, in circular wooden frame (245mm) (weight 1.260kg), HMS Lion, obverse, standing lion in high relief, rising sun behind, 'Heligoland/1914/Doggerbank/1915/Jutland 1916' in six lines to left; together with wooden box (200x140x110mm) with brass plaque on lid inscribed 'Relic from Bridge of H.M.S. Lion/Admiral Beatty's Flag Ship/During the Great War/1914-18'. First item with spots of verdigris, second item the base of the box has come away and the fabric inside is badly torn, fair - very fine. (2)
