ARTILLERY SHELL, 1890 (approx size 2.6kg; 57mm) for use on QF 6 pounder Nordenfelt gun, a cylindrical iron projectile with base marked '12/90', one side marked, 'III R L' and below is a small broadarrow, on the opposite side is marked, '(small) C over S. D'. Surface oxidation, otherwise very fine.
