VICT.(ORIA) Amateur Wrestling Championship, prize medal in voided enamel and gold (15ct; 17.00g; 30mm), with scroll top suspension, reverse inscribed, 'Heavy Weight 1922/Won By W.Simpson', in plush leather case with clear panel on lid for viewing. Extremely fine.

The finals for the Victorian Amateur Wrestling Championships were held on Tuesday night, 11 July 1922, at the Athenaeum Hall along with the finals of the Victorian Amateur Boxing Championships. The event was presided over by Sir Harry Chauvel. W.Simpson won the heavy weight division beating A.J.O.Scott.
