JAPAN, (c.1910-1930), trademark advertising specimen prints, polychrome, many for use in China, "Nisshin Co", one large and one small print of folk heroine Hua Mulan with horse, (13 x 18cm and 22.5 x 16cm); "Takisada and Co", depicting a family beside a pavilion, (21.5 x 17cm); "Aichi Products Co Ltd", depicting an elderly man with children by a rotunda, (18 x 18.5cm); "Morifuku Factory", depicting grandfather, son and grandson in a mountain scene, (25.5 x 19cm); another depicting Guan Gong (Guan Yu) lecturing Zhang Fe, (26 x 18.5cm); another depicting Su Shi (Su Dongpo) visiting Chibi at night, (25 x 18.5cm); another depicting the Imperial consort Yang Guifei (Yang Yuhan, one of the Four Beauties of ancient China), in a garden scene, (25.5 x 18.5cm) (illustrated); "Ancient China Beauty Brand", depicting a seated lady in a garden house, (25 x 18cm). Extremely fine and scarce. (9)
