ANTONINUS PIUS, (A.D. 138-161), AE sestertius, (23.83 g), Rome Mint, issued A.D. 140-144, obv. laureate head of Antoninus Pius to right, around ANTONINVS AVG PI VS P P TR P COS III, rev. Salus standing to left, holding sceptre and feeding a snake arising from altar, around COS III, S C across field, (cf.S.4214, RIC 762, C.278). Green and brown toning with some surface roughness, very fine - good very fine and scarce.
