TABLE ORRERY, a Parkes & Hadley patent brass table orrery (mechanical model of Solar System) (approx 30x24x12cm), London, c1880, features calendar plate with gear pushed mechanism and a table stand base, affixed to the base stand is a plaque that reads, 'George Philip & Son/Geographical/&/Educational Publishers/London/32 Fleet Street'. Missing central sun deflector and globe above cog wheel, otherwise fine and rare.
