FRANCE, Serbia Day Medal, 1916, in gilt bronze (31x41.5mm), with ring top suspension, by 'TSM Lordonnois Graveur Edit', obverse, Serbian double headed eagle and in the crowned centre are the busts of King Peter I and Crown Prince Alexander to right, reverse, Serbian double headed eagle and in the crowned centre are the arms of eight allied nations surmounted by the French rooster. Very fine.
The medal was issued on Serbia Day, June 25, 1916, for contributions to the charitable relief fund for Serb refugees set up following the invasion and over-running of Serbia by Austrian and Bulgarian forces in 1915.
