PORTUGAL, commemorative medallion of the inauguration of the eastern railway in Lisbon, 23 October 1856, in bronze (50mm), by Gerard, obverse, bishop blessing the train in the presence of the Royal Court. Edge mark on reverse, otherwise good very fine.
