DUTCH, Charles II, gilt electrotype of a Reward For Services medal, 1660, obv. bust of King facing right, wearing armour, around, CAROLUS II. D. G. MAG. BRIT. FRAN. ET HIB. REX., rev. three crowns within branches of laurel and palm, around PROPTER STRENVITATEM ET FIDELITATEM REBVS IN ADVERSIS, chain-border, (75mm). Extremely fine, in original box.

This is an electrotype of a unique piece in gold awarded by Charles II to an individual for zeal and fidelity in adversity.
