QUEENSLAND CYCLISTS' UNION, prize fob in gold (15ct; 7.38g; 26x41mm), ring top suspension, obverse inscribed, 'Five Mile C'Ship/JMcF', reverse inscribed, 'Q.C.U/2nd Prize/Won By/J.Macfarlane/Mar 17th 08'. Very fine.

In 1908 gold medals were given for the first and second placegetters in the Cycling Championships of Queensland. J. Macfarlane representing the North Brisbane Club was second to T. Atherton in the Five Mile Championship.
