KATANNING RIFLE CLUB, prize medal in gold (9ct; 6.51g; 29mm), scroll and ring top suspension, reverse inscribed, 'Spoon Medal/K.R.C/Presented by/F.T.R.Piesse/Won by/P.H.Budd/1913-1914'. Some pitting, otherwise very fine.

F.T.R.Piesse was on the committee of the Katanning Chamber of Commerce. He was an ancestor of Frederick Henry Piesse who was the founder of Kattaning, a town about 280 kilometres south-east of Perth, Western Australia.
