NSW CENTENNIAL CARNIVAL, 1888, prize medal in gold (9ct; 8.88g; 31mm), by W.Kerr, scroll and ring top suspension, obverse inscribed, 'N.S.W. C.C./1888', reverse inscribed, '1st Grand Centennial Prize/Hose Eights/Won By/S.Gray/G.W.V.F.B'. Very fine.

S.Gray was a member of the Geelong West Volunteer Fire Brigade from the Geelong suburb of Melbourne, Victoria that won the first of the grand centennial prizes at the Centennial Carnival held in Sydney, NSW.
