ISLAND OFF EPEIROS, Korkyra, (c.400 B.C.), silver stater, (11.13 g), obv. cow standing left, head turned to lick calf that is suckling to right, rev. K-O-P retrograde, double stellate pattern within square linear frame, within a linear circle and shallow incuse circle, (S.2004, BMC 66ff, SNG Lockett [this coin]). Attractive old cabinet toning with hints of red, gold, and blue, extremely fine and rare.
