BOIOTIA, Thebes, (382-363 B.C.), silver stater, Arka.. Magistrate, (12.29 g), obv. Boiotian shield, rev. amphora, in concave field, with vine leaf on amphora, across letters AP KA either side, (cf.S.2398, Hepworth Series D3, No.13 [in list], BCD 536 [p.100, Triton IX], Head, Boeotia p.64, Weber - cf.SNG Cop. 318). Nearly extremely fine, very rare.
