ATTICA, Athens, (166-57 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.8 grams), issued 145-4 B.C., (Thompson date) but probably 115-4 B.C. (revised chronology), obv. head of Athena Parthenos to right, rev. owl standing to right, head facing, to left of owl Triptolemos in carriage pulled by snakes, below, A on amphora, all within wreath, (cf.S.2555, Thompson 672b [same obverse die], cf.SNG Fitz. 3218). Nearly extremely fine.
