CARIA, Hidrieus satrap, (353-344 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (14.98 g), obv. laureate head of Apollo three-quarter face to right, rev. Zeus Labraundos standing to right holding labrys and spear, to right **IDRIEWS*, E in reverse field, (S.4958, BMC 1 [p.183], SNG von Aulock 8046). Minor surface porosity on the obverse, otherwise nearly extremely fine/extremely fine and very rare.

Ex Noble Numismatics Sale 53 (lot 2130).^No recent sales have been noted similar examples in Coin Archives, for similar examples; 4500 SFr NAC [2006], 2400 pounds Roma [2011].
