CARIA, Mylasa, (c.520-490 B.C.), silver stater, 19mm, (10.76 g), Persic standard, obv. forepart of roaring lion to left, dotted bar on shoulder, rev. incuse square pattern, (S.3575, SNG Kayhan 929, SNG von Aulock 2335-7, ACNAC Rosen 611, Konuk, Influences, pl. XXIX, 4 = Nanteuil 560, SNG Cop. 179). About very fine assorted knocks and marks, very scarce.

Ex Giessener Munzhandlung, Munich, auction March 9, 1999 (lot 1119 part). apparently only known from a few coins. In descriptive flip.
