SYRIA, Kingdom of, Antiochus I, (280-261 B.C.), silver drachm, (4.10 g), Ai Khanoum Mint, issued 280-271 B.C., obv. diademed head of Antiochos I to right, rev. horned and bridled horse head right, traces of **BASILEWS* **ANTIOCOU* around, **L* in circle monogram to right, (cf.S.6873, SC 432.3a var, HGC 136, SMAK A1DH (A7P?)). Toned, some surface pitting, very fine or better and very rare.
