SYRIA, Kingdom of, Antiochus VII, (138-129 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.57 g), Damascus mint, issued year 178 = 135/4 B.C., obv. diademed head of Antiochus VII to right, fillet border, rev. Athena standing to left, holding Nike bearing a Nike to left in left hand, right hand on shield with Medusa head and holding spear, **BASILEWS ANTIOCOU*, and to left **EUER GETOU*, to left monogram of **LE over complex monogramed, (S.7092, SC 2096.3, BMC 14, LSM 56, SNG Israel I [Spaer] 1855, ACNAC Houghton 835, Newell 282, HGC 9, 1067o). Good very fine and rare.
