EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy VI Philometor (180-145 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, Citium mint (in Cyprus), struck year 31 = 151-150 B.C., (14.06 g), obv. diademed head of king Ptolemy to right with aegis, rev. eagle to left on thunderbolt with closed wings, to left L**AL*, to right KI, around **BASILEWS PTOLEMAIOU**, (cf.S.7893, Sv.1479 {14 noted Pl.L, 22]; Paphos I Hoard No.12 (p.52 Pl. VIII, 12 [same dies]; cf.SNG Cop.592, BMC 53, Mionnet VI, 12, 110). Lightly patinated, good very fine/extremely fine and very rare.
