TRAJAN, (A.D. 98-117), AE sestertius issued 103-11, Rome mint, (21.02 g), obv. laureate head to right of Trajan, cloak on right shoulder, rev. Dacian seated left on shields in an attitude of mourning trophy in left hand, with arms at base, SPQR OPTIMO PRINCIPI around S C in exergue (S.3196 [VF ?300], RIC 564, BMC 785, C.534) (illustrated). Fine, uneven patina and rare.
