SEPTIMIUS SEVERUS, (A.D. 193-211), silver denarius, Laodicea mint, issued A.D. 198, (3.47 g), obv. laureate head of Septimius Severus to right, around L SEP SE AVG IMP XI PART MAX, rev. around LIBERTAS AVGG, Libertas standing half left, holding pileus and rod, (S.6308, RIC 507, RSC 306). Dark grey patination, about extremely fine, well centred, very scarce.
