MAXIMINUS I, (A.D. 235-238), AE sestertius, Rome mint, issued 235-6, (20.09 g), obv. around MAXIMINVS PIVS AVG GERM, laureate bust, draped to right of Maximinus, rev. around PAX AVGVSTI, Pax standing left, holding olive branch and sceptre, S C across, (S.8332, RIC 58, C.34). Attractive brown patination, good portrait, nearly very fine and scarce.

Ex Dr V.J.A. Flynn Collection from Baldwin's London c.1980 with priced ticket for 50 pounds.
