GORDIAN III, (A.D. 238-244), silver antoninianus, Rome mint, issued 242-3, (5.62 g), obv. radiate bust right, around IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, rev. PM TR P V COS II P P with Apollo seated to left holding branch, (S.8648, RIC 89, RSC 261). Well centred on a broad flan, lightly toned, good extremely fine with mint bloom.
