THE AUSTRALIAN JOINT STOCK BANK, West Maitland, five pounds, not dated (18--printed), not numbered, proof stamped SPECIMEN, no watermark, imprint of Perkins, Bacon & Co London, 1857 in pencil bottom margin. Note has burnt areas, some cracking and peices missing, otherwise fine, very rare, one of only two known.
