ITALY, Lucania, Metapontum, (c.400-350 B.C.), silver stater or nomos (7.722 grams), obv. head of female (Kore) to left, wearing band, all enclosed within circle, rev. corn ear, META to right, stalk to left, (cf.S.406, Noe [NN&M 47, 1984] 433, SNG ANS 331, SNG Munich 962 [all same dies]). Scratch on reverse, otherwise good fine and scarce.
