ACARNANIA, Arcarnian Confederacy, (250-167 B.C.), silver stater, (9.792 grams), obv. beardless head of river-god Achelous, **LUKOURGOS* behind, rev. Apollo Aktios enthroned to left, holding bow, before monogram **QE* reversed, and **AKARNANWN* behind, (cf.S.2310, BMC 6-7 [p.168], SNG Cop.418). Toned, good very fine and rare.
