SYRIA, Kingdom of, Demetrius I, (162-150 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.695 grams), Antioch mint, issued year 162 (151/150 B.C.), obv. diademed head of Demetrius to right within laurel wreath border, rev. Tyche seated to left with leg of throne a winged monster, holds sceptre and cornucopiae, to right **BASILEWS, to left **DHMH TRIOU, and **SWTHROS, monograms to far left of **PHL* over **PMI*, date **BX*P in exergue, (S.7015, Newell SMA 131, BMC 21-2, SNG Israel I (Spaer 1288-9, ACNAC Houghton 168). Slightly off centred on the obverse, good very fine, scarce.
