SYRIA, Kingdom of, Antiochus VII, (138-129 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.57 grams), Antioch mint, obv. diademed head of Antiochus VII to right, fillet border, rev. Athene standing to left, holding wreath bearing Nike in hand and other hand on shield with Medusa head and holding spear, **BASILEWS ANTIOCOU, and to left **EUER GETOU, to left monogram of **DI over A, behind Athena D, (S.7092, cf.Houghton ACNAC 267, SMA Newell 288, BMC 21,). Weak in places, otherwise good very fine, scarce.
