PHOENICIA, Arados, (c.2nd century B.C.), silver drachm, (3.296 grams), struck Mc = year 89 = 171-0 B.C., obv. bee,in field to left and right AP (monogram) Mc, rev. stag standing to right, palm-tree in background to right **[AR]ADIWN*, (cf.S.5989, P. Kinns 'Drachms of Ephesus' Num. Chron. 1999 No.4.12 (This Coin, illustrated Pl.11). Bright, good very fine, scarce.

Ex Lebanon Hoard 1997 deposited c.165 B.C. described in Num. Chron, 1999 (pp.60-62).
