EGYPT, Alexandria, Hadrian, (A.D. 117-138), billon tetradrachm, year 15 = A.D. 130-131, (10.39 grams), obv. laureate draped and cuirassed bust of Hadrian to right, around AVT KAI TPAI A**D*PIA CEB, rev. Hadrian togate standing to right, receiving ears of corn from Alexandria L/IE, (S.1257, BMC 669, Milne 1294-6, Koln 1026-8). Porous surface, dark tone, nearly very fine and rare.

An important issue struck to commemorate the visit of Hadrian to Egypt in A.D. 130.
