JUSTIN II, (565-578 A.D.), gold solidus, (4.44 g), Constantinople Mint, obv. helmeted and cuirassed bust facing, holding victory in right hand, rev. Constantinopolis seated facing, holding spear in right hand and globus cruciger in left (S.344). Graffito to right of bust, nearly extremely fine.
