KINGS OF LYDIA, Sardes, time of Kroisos (Croesus), (564-539 BC), silver siglos (5.14 g), obv. confronting foreparts of lion, facing right, and bull facing left, rev. two incuse punches (S.3420, BMC 41, Traite pl.10, 9, SNG von Aulock 2877). Slightly granular surface, otherwise extremely fine.
